This is a political ambition that requires good leadership with a convincing tongue to influence the party executives to be by your side always.
Below are three famous politicians who have shown their interest in the NPP flag bearer position for the 2024 presidential election candidate.
1. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong
Kennedy Agyapong is a Ghanaian politician and a business tycoon who represents Assin Central in parliament for the New Patriotic Party ( NPP). He was first elected as a Member of Parliament in the year 2000 to the seat of Assin North. He stills remain their Member of Parliament (MP). Kennedy Agyapong has boldly confirmed that he will be contesting for the 2024 presidential election and will pick a form at his party to contest those who are willing and ready to battle with him.
2. Alan John Kyerematen
Alan Kyerematen is a Ghanaian politician, Corporate executive, diplomat and an international public servant specializing in global trade issues. Alan Kyerematen has contested for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer position before, but unfortunately for him he lost to the current president of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a Ghanaian economist and former central banker who serves as the 7th Vice President of the Republic of Ghana in the 4th Ghanaian Republic. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and he became the vice president of Ghana since 2017. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is believed to be the Ghana experienced vice president with a demonstrated history of working in the political organization industry. He has also revealed his interest in the presidential flag bearer position for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the election to be held in 2024.
