Ghanaian teen sensation Felix Afenya Gyan won his first European League title on Wednesday night at Albernia’s Kombetare Arena when AS Roma defeated Fenenoord 1-0.
Roma hold a 1-0 lead over Feyenoord in the Europa Conference League final. Nicolo Zaniolo put the Italian outfit in front with the first chance of the game, chesting the ball down before guiding a deft strike past Justin Bijlow.
Arne Slot’s men responded towards the end of the first half, but needed to improve in the final third to get back into the contest.
Feyenoord were clinical when they needed to be and looked solid at the back.
The Dutch outfit pushed in the second half and came close twice as Gianluca Mancini almost scored an own goal before Tyrell Malacia was denied by a super stop from Rui Patricio.
The Italian side AS Roman defended their lone goal scored to lift their first trophy in 14 years.
