The West African Examination council has released the provisional results of the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for students and stakeholders accessibility.

In a press release today, 28th February, the Examination body made it known that  a total of 572,167 candidates made up of 287,730 males and 284,437 females entered for the examination from 18,028 schools.

This was 7.61% increase of  2020’s entry of 531,707

1) A total of 138 students were caught for bringing in foreign items hence have had their subject results cancelled by the examination body

2) The entire results of 46 candidates have been cancelled for sending Mobile phones to the examination hall.

3) 148 subject  results being withheld and 109 entire results on pending

WAEC Ghana in the letter also made it known that scripts of 24 schools in certain schools are undergoing scrutiny.
