Drivers To March uncovered Over Rising Cost Of Fuel

The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana is threatening to march bare on the streets of the country wide capital to categorical its anger at the authorities over the ever-increasing fees of fuel.

The drivers intend to block most important roads in the course of that demonstration.

The group’s National Public Relations Officer, Mr David Agboado, advised Korku Lumor on Class91.3FM’s 505 information programme on Thursday, 19 May 2022: “We are giving the authorities two weeks; if nothing is done, we the drivers will take to our heels and do the bare demonstration”.

“This time around, we are going bare so that it sounds different; that’s what we prefer to do so that the authorities will sit down up”, he said.

Comparing the expenditures of gas in Ghana to her neighbours’, Mr Agboado said: “When you go to Burkina, their gasoline rate is 7.81; when you go to Togo, it’s 7.62; when you go to Ivory Coast, it’s 8.62”.

“Why? Are they additionally now not going through the identical component that we are facing?” he wondered.
