Minority leader and two other MPs files interlocutory injunction on the implementation of E-levy in supreme court

Honourable Haruna Iddrisu in combination with two other National Democratic party Member of Parliament have successfully filed for an interlocutory injunction seeking to put on hold the implementation of the Electronic-Levy by the Government of Ghana.

After the passage of the much talked about Electronic-Levy earlier this month, the minority group had vowed to do everything within their power to prevent it from being implemented and by that has today, Tuesday 19th April, 2022 filed for interlocutory injunction at the Supreme Court of Ghana.

The Electronic-Levy is a tax bill passed into law earlier this month even as the minority group of Parliament walked out of Parliament.

The bill was later assented by the president to become a law and was set to be implemented from May but may see some challenges as the minority leader has filed protest against it.
