Mothers Day: Not every mother deserves to be celebrated – Presby Minister
The Minister-in-charge of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Bethel Congregation, Mankessim, Rev. Philip Kwasi Osafo, has said not all women should be honoured on Mothers Day as some are heartless and do not take care of their children.
According to him, some mothers are so wicked that they dump their babies into public toilets and gutters while others abort their babies due to certain situations they find themselves in.
He said such mothers need not share in the honour accorded good and caring mothers on Mother’s Day.
Speaking in an interview with EIB Network Central Regional Correspondent Yaw Boagyan on the sidelines of the commissioning of the school built by the church on Sunday, May 8, 2022, (Mother’s day) he advised such mothers to turn from their sinful ways and ask for forgives and they will be saved by God and use them for something good to glorify His name.
He also advised parents to support their wards and let their education be of utmost importance to them.
On his part, Mr. Duncan Kwakye, Acting Headteacher of Bethel Academy School, encouraged parents to enroll their wards in the school where quality teaching and learning are assured to mould the children into responsible adults.
