UTAG AND FWSC BACK TO THE NEGOTIATING TABLE

Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has on behalf of the government invited the leadership of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) to a meeting .

The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 24th February,2022 at exactly 10:00am at the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations conference room in Accra.

 

 

The agenda for the meeting per the letter is to negotiate on the impasse matter that led UTAG to embark on seven-weeks of industrial strike actions from 10th January, 2022.

The letter signed by the AG. Chief Executive Of FWSC stated clearly that the representative of UTAG must come with a clear instinct of coming to negotiate as well as coming on the authorization of the National Executive Committee of UTAG.

This has shown government’s commitment to amicably settle this issue once and for all after compelling UTAG to call off the strike before any of such thing come on.
