The National Executive Committee of the University Teachers Association of Ghana on yesterday 26th February, 2022 served a letter to all it’s local branches on the stand of it’s decision to temporarily suspend the ongoing strike.
In the letter which was captured by African news era, the National Executive Committee of UTAG encourage members within the local branches of various universities to as a matter of urgency return back to the classroom for teaching and learning activities to Commence as negotiations are being engaged with the government.
The letter also indicated to members that there’s been a meeting held between Executives and the Government on Thursday, 24th February 2022 with other meetings slated on Wednesday March 2nd 2022 and Thursday March 3rd,2022 respectively.
In concluding the letter, UTAG said it is optimistic of obtaining the desired results within the stipulated time for the suspension of the strike, hence pleaded with members to return to lecture halls.
